Close up detail of the Grade ll* listed building
Working with local architects previously responsible for projects including Glastonbury Abbey, the vision was to add to the building rather than take away.
Original window frames, flagstones and staircases have been salvaged, and an internal courtyard introduced, flooding the space with natural light. The result is a space which embraces history and modernity.

28 Market Place occupies a historic ground floor level, which is approximately 600mm lower than the modern raised external street level.
We have constructed a new raised floor at the level of the historic floor that provides accessible circulation, once inside, to all dining areas, including access to a new Accessible WC. Doors have been omitted internally to provide ensure clear widths for wheelchair access.
Assistance to enter the restaurant is available on request.
